1	The Cops, Kids and Canoes program is the first-ever ProAction-funded program in Hamilton. This one-day canoeing program involved Aboriginal youth and police officers from across Hamilton. Each youth was paired up with an officer and together they canoed down the Grand River from Paris to Brantford, a nearly 2-hour canoe trip. The officer and youth worked together to navigate the canoe through the course and as a result, were able to make strong and lasting connections together.	Youth Services Coordinator
