SUMMARY:HAMILTON CHAPTER 7TH ANNUAL BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Saturday June 17th at the McMaster University baseball diamonds for ProAction Cops & Kids’ 7th Annual Hamilton Baseball Tournament.  This tournament has become a favourite ProAction event amongst Hamilton youth and police officers. It provides kids from across Hamilton with a unique opportunity to step onto a baseball diamond alongside police officers to discover their love of this sport.  For many of the young participants\, this tournament represents their first experience on the baseball field. \nAt the start of the day\, youth and officers are organized into four teams that play in a Round Robin style tournament. Proud participants demonstrate their skills in a home-run derby where players compete against each other in an attempt to hit the ball out of the park.  To keep energized\, participants enjoy pizza and healthy snacks throughout the day while cheering on their teammates and police coaches. All are awarded for their participation and the winning team takes ownership of the tournament trophy – at least until next year! \nThe Hamilton Baseball Tournament is a great opportunity for you and your company to get involved in a worthy cause. ProAction is pleased to offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities for this event.  Your sponsorship will not only help ProAction continue to fund incredible programs\, but can also directly and positively help guide program youth to better life choices and futures.

His message\, “Give with your heart\, and you shall receive” continues to live on and inspired a standing ovation. \nChief Mark Saunders thanked ProAction’s guests for their support in helping officers connect with young people in need and introduced Quandon Thomas\, a participant from the ProAction funded Toronto Recreational Outtripping Outreach Program.  Quandon bravely stepped on stage to inform the audience that ‘the struggle is real’. He shared his personal story and how the mentorship he continues to receive from Police Constables Vince & Laura Langdon makes a difference in his life.  Chief Saunders congratulated Quandon for his outstanding achievements –graduating high school and working towards a career in security so that he can serve and protect his community like his police mentors. \n \nTrue to the spirit of a celebration\, host Eugene Levy and the cast of The Second City delivered an evening program filled with laughter.  The Second City performed a custom show and later joined forces with the ProAction Cops & Kids’ Improv Group for a finale performance that provided these youth with a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform on stage! \nProAction’s 25th Anniversary Gala raised over $300\,000 to support police officers as they reach out to youth and establish relationships that help lead these young people towards better life choices. These funds will help ProAction police partners to engage even more youth in healthy\, pro-social activities while mentoring these young people to success. \nTo view photos from the 25th Anniversary Gala\, please visit www.facebook.com/copsandkids.ca/photos/?tab=albums \nThank you for your support!

SUMMARY:5TH ANNUAL HAMILTON CHAPTER BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 6\, 2015 – 11:00 to 14:00\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease join us on June 6\, 2015 at the McMaster University baseball diamonds for ProAction Cops & Kids’ 5th Annual Hamilton Baseball Tournament. All are awarded for their participation and the winning team takes ownership of the tournament trophy – at least until next year!! \n  \n \n

SUMMARY:4TH ANNUAL HAMILTON CHAPTER BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 21\, 2014 – 11:00\n\n\n\n\n\nThe sun was shining down on another successful baseball tournament in support of ProAction’s Hamilton Chapter. Four teams\, entered and coached by Hamilton police officers\, included a mix of police and youth players that provided the opportunity for the young people to interact with the officers on a fun and positive level. The Round Robin Tournament was a great success! Cheers and encouraging chants from fellow team mates echoed from the players’ dugouts and side lines. ProAction and the Hamilton Police Service provided pizza\, snacks and drinks throughout the day. The day capped off with an awards ceremony that celebrated each participant’s achievements and teamwork.  The excitement levels of the kids never faltered and each youth was thrilled to receive their blue ribbon medals. \nThe event’s great success was possible only through the generous contributions of ProAction’s donors\, sponsors and partners. On behalf of ProAction Cops & Kids and our Hamilton Council members\, we would like to thank those who helped to support the baseball tournament.  Your investment will help us continue to support police-led programs for at-risk youth throughout Hamilton. \nThis tournament is one example of the many programs ProAction provides to ensure that all the youth who have the passion and desire to play team sports have an outlet to do so. \n

SUMMARY:A NIGHT UNDER THE SEA
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, May 9\, 2014 – 09:00\n\n\n\n\n\nIt was the greatest show on earth! ProAction Cops & Kids gave guests an elegant and exclusive way to experience Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada with A Night Under the Sea! \nGuests entered the Aquarium greeted by police officers and program youth who were showcasing their outstanding graffiti art skills. They explored the waters of the world making their way to the Discovery Center where Chief Blair hosted a Chalk Talk with a program youth.  All celebrated as this participant proudly shared his success at University – an accomplishment he says would not have been possible without the support of Det. Brandon Price and his ProAction funded Rugby program. \nThe surprises throughout the evening never ceased to amaze as over 600 guests watched with bated breath as aerial dancers performed suspended from the ceiling above.  ProAction program youth astounded with stories and program vignettes and the DJ spun the crowd’s favourite music as everyone danced the night away! \nThe evening was a great success! On behalf of ProAction Cops & Kids and our Board of Directors we would like to thank the generous contributions from our sponsors and donors. \nPlease join us for the 2015 Night Under the Sea – A Trip Around the World on Friday\, April 24th at Ripley’s Aquarium.
